Magnus Girardot Railway of Colombia Dampflokomotive
Die Lok, vom Typ Kitson Meyer, ist eigentlich eine Abwandlung des Garratt-Typs.
Besonders vorteilhaft bei dieser Konstruktion ist, dass die Vorräte mit dem Kessel in einer Einheit auf dem Träger sind.
Dadurch ist eine gute Beschickung des Kessels gegeben.
Außerdem haben die Lokomotiven eine besonders gute Kurvenläufigkeit.
Vorwiegend in Chile, Bolivien und in Kolumbien waren diese Maschinen sehr beliebt.
Diese Lokomotiven wurden hauptsächlich bei der englischen Fa. Kitson & Comp. gefertigt.

Magnus Girardot Railway of Colombia Sream Locomotive
This locomotive, type Kitson Meyer, is actually a modification of the Garratt type.
A particular advantage of this design is that the supplies and the boiler are both mounted on a single frame.
The result is a good supply to the boiler.
In addition, these locomotives operate particularly well on winding railroad lines.
These locomotives were very popular, primarily in Chile, Bolivia and Colombia.
The manufacturer was mostly the English firm Kitson & Comp.
