Description: English below

Narrow Gauge Two-Truck Heisler of the Oregon Lumber Company

Industrial railroads often operate in harsh conditions, requiring specialized equipment to haul cargo from the field. During the steam era, Heisler Locomotive Works of Erie, Pennsylvania answered the call with geared locomotives that could easily navigate the challenging grades and curves that were a part of everyday life for logging and mining operations. Heisler's unique designs provided incredible power and stability without a significant loss of speed, a combination that allowed the weighty locomotives to operate at a top speed nearly twice that of their competitors. We're pleased to continue the Spectrum logging and mining series with our Two- Truck Heisler, based on a 1920s stock model from the Heisler catalog.
