Vorbild
Um Stückgut effektiv und sicher befördern zu können, wurden gedeckte Güterwagen in grossen Stückzahlen angefertigt. Man versuchte nach und nach das eine und andere zu standardisieren.
So entstand ein gedeckter Güterwagen nach UIC Norm; der Gmms (auch Gs). Dieser Wagentyp war bei fast alle Eisenbahnen in Europa unterwegs. So auch bei der Deutschen Reichsbahn. Wieviel Waggons insgesamt gebaut wurden ist unbekannt, es waren aber sehr viele.
Von Serie zu Serie waren manchmal Unterschiede erkennbar. Auch nach einer Revision konnte das äussere Erscheinungsbild eines Waggons verändert sein.
Modell
Viel Wert wurde auf die Umsetzung zum Modell gelegt.
Das Modell ist aus hochwertigem Kunststoff hergestellt.
Der Wagen nähert sich den gültigen Spur II Normen an.
Das Modell ist mit Edelstahl-Radreifen ausgestattet. Kugellager Achsen sorgen für bestes Fahrverhalten.
Die Puffer und auch die Achsen sind gefedert.
Das Modell wurde entwickelt als Ladegut für die Rollböcke (u.a. Boerman Art. Nr. 0005-0101 und 0005- 0201). Dadurch können Sie den Rollbockverkehr in Modell völlig wieder erleben. Die passende Rollbockgrube erhalten Sie unter der Boerman Art Nr. 0005-0001.
Wir empfehlen dieses Modell auf Bogengleisen mit einem Radius ab 120 cm einzusetzen. Das Befahren engerer Bogen bis 60 cm ist technisch möglich, kann aber bei längeren Zuggarnituren zu Entgleisungen führen.

Prototype:
In order to be able to transport general cargo effectively and safely, covered freight wagons were manufactured in large numbers. Gradually, attempts were made to standardize one or the other.
This resulted in a covered freight car according to the UIC standard; the Gmms (also Gs). This type of wagon was used on almost all railways in Europe. This car was also in service with the Deutsche Reichsbahn (German State Railways). How many wagons were built in total is unknown, but there were many.
From one series to the next, differences were sometimes recognizable. Also after a revision the outer appearance of a wagon could be changed.
Model:
Great care was taken with the development of the model.
The model is made of high-quality plastic.
The car is designed the to the current track II (64 mm) standards as much as possible.
The model is equipped with stainless steel wheel rims. Ball bearing axles provide for best running characteristics.
The buffers and also the axles are sprung.
The model was developed as a load for carrier trucks (including Boerman Art. No. 0005-0101 and 0005- 0201). You can therefore experience carrier truck rail traffic in model. You can get the matching carrier truck pit as Boerman Art No. 0005-0001.
We recommend using this model on curved tracks with a radius of 1200 mm (8 foot diameter) or more. It is technically possible to operate on narrower curves down to 600 mm (4 foot diameter), but this can lead to derailments with longer train sets.
