Massoth brochure describing PZB-IR, the localized train control with the independent PZB/IR control system.

Short Summary:

This train control system was developed for areas of the Garden Railroad where feedback or control via a separate bus is not available or practical.

The system consists of three components:
Massoth 8172010 DIMAX PZB/IR Signal decoder
Massoth 8172510 DIMAX PZB/IR Receiver
Massoth 8172410 DIMAX PZB/IR Red signal control LED

No additional wiring is required - power is provided via the DCC track voltage.
The signal decoder is mounted between between the rails, the receiver is mounted in the locomotive and is connected to the loco decoder either via SUSI if available or an input control.
Up to four commands can be sent at one time to activate a wide variety of functions,

The red signal control is required to pass a signal set to red (stop) for the opposite direction of travel.

Minimum DCC track voltage required is 16 VDCC
