Die Pioneer Lokomotive No. 42 "Anglo-Saxon" wurde 1880 bei den Baldwin Locomotive Works gebaut um die steilen Geraden und die scharfen Kurven auf der Colorado’s Denver & Rio Grande Railway zu bewältigen. Für Jahrzehnte war die 2-8-0 Consolidation Class die Standardlokomotive bei den Schmalspurbahnen. Im Jahre 1887 wurde No. 42 an Otto Mear’s Silverton Railroad verkauft wo sie noch ca. zwanzig Jahre lang ihren Dienst verrichtete bevor sie 1909 stillgelegt wurde.
Dieses hervorragend detailierte Modell ist komplett aus Messing und Edelstahl gefertigt. Der Antrieb erfolgt über einen Pittman motor.
Das Modell ist Bestandteil von Accucrafts Silver Stream Series.

Baldwin C-16
The pioneer locomotive #42 "Anglo-Saxon" was built in 1880 by the Baldwin Locomotive Works to negotiate the steep straights and narrow bends of Colorado’s Denver & Rio Grande Railway. For decades the 2-8-0 Consolidation was the standard locomotive of the narrow gauge railways. In 1887 No. 42 was sold to Otto Mear’s Silverton Railroad where it continued to serve for another 20 years until its retirement in 1909.
This superbly detailed model is entirely made of brass and stainless steel. It is powered by a Pittman motor.
The model is part of Accucraft‘s Silver Stream Series.
