Schotterwagenset der Rhätischen Bahn.
Besteht aus drei Schotterwagen der Epoche V.
Vorbild:
Bei der Erweiterung des Güterwagenparkes um Schotterwagen im Jahre 1965 griff die Rhätische Bahn (RhB) auf die Erfahrung der Waggonfabrik TALBOT in Aachen zurück. Sie lieferte 10 Wagen welche mit den Nummern OS 8656-8665 bei der RhB eingereiht wurden.
Ab Dezember 1969 erhielten die Wagen neue Betriebsnummern (Fd 8656-8665). Ein Unikat ist der Wagen Fd 8658 welcher anlässlich einer Ausstellung einen oxydroten Anstrich mit weißer Beschriftung erhielt. Ab Juni 2003 sind die Wagen als Dienstwagen mit den neuen Nummern Xc 9416-9425 auf dem gesamten Streckennetz der Rhätischen Bahn zu sehen.
Ursprünglich hatten die Wagen eine beige Farbgebung. Heute sind die Wagen witterungs- und betriebsbedingt ausgebleicht und deshalb in einem rostig-beigen Farbkleid unterwegs.
Diese Selbstentladewagen besitzen einen sehr tiefen Schwerpunkt und haben ein Ladevolumen von 9m³.
Baugleiche Wagen wurden in Lizenz von der Fa. Schindler Waggon auch für andere Bahngesellschaften hergestellt. Diese sind bei der AB (Appenzellerbahn), MGB (Matterhorn-Gotthard-Bahn (ex FO/BVZ), der MOB (Montreux-Oberland-Bernois), SBB (Brünig-Bahn) und TPF (transport public fribourgeois (ex GFM)) eingestellt.
Modell:
Bei dem Modell des Schotterwagens handelt es sich um eine maßstäbliche Umsetzung des Fd-Schotterwagens im Maßstab 1:22,5. Der Wagen hat Edelstahlradsätze welche auf allen gängigen Gartenbahngleisen für einen ruhigen Lauf sorgen. Wie beim Vorbild wurde auf eine drehbare Lagerung der Achshalter verzichtet und diese mit Doppelblattfedern-Imitationen nachgebildet. Authentische, epochengerechte Lackierungen und Beschriftungen sind je nach Bahnverwaltung akkurat aufgebracht. Der befahrbare Mindestradius liegt bei 600mm.
Die MGB/FO-Varianten besitzen vorbildgetreue Detailunterschiede zur den RhB-Varianten:

Prototype:
For the expansion of the freight car rolling stock to include gravel ballast wagons in 1965, the Rhaetian Railway (RhB) drew on the experience of the wagon factory TALBOT in Aachen, Germany. They delivered 10 cars with were placed in service at the RhB using road numbers OS 8656-8665.
In December 1969, these cars were given new road numbers (Fd 8656-8665). Car Fd 8658 is unique in that it received an oxide-red paint scheme with white lettering on the occasion of an exhibition. Starting in June 2003, these car can be seen as service cars with the new numbers Xc 9416-9425 on the entire network of the Rhaetian Railway.
Originally, the cars had a beige color scheme. Today the cars are bleached due to the weather and are therefore seen in service in a rusty beige colour.
These self-unloading hoppers have a very low center of gravity and a capacity of 9m³ (11.8 cu,ff.)
Identical cars were manufactured under license by the company Schindler Waggon for other railroad companies. These are in service at the AB (Appenzeller Bahn), the MGB (Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn (ex FO / BVZ), the MOB (Montreux-Oberland Bernois), the SBB (Brünig Bahn) and the TPF (transport public fribourgeois (ex GFM)).
Model:
The model of the gravel ballast car is n accurate replica of the Fd gravel car in the scale of 1: 22.5. The car is equipped with stainless steel axles which allow for smooth operation on all all popular garden railway tracks. Following the construction of the prototype, the axles are fixed and do not swivel; they also include simulated double leaf springs. Paint and lettering are authentic to the specific epoch and railroad administration. The minimum negotiable radius is 600mm (4 ft diameter).
The MGB / FO versions include prototypical detail differences to the RhB versions:
- added side flaps
- platform with metal grates instead of wooden planks
- nameplate “Schindler†instead of “Talbotâ€
- document holder in correct prototypical position
