Krupp baute1939 diese leistungsfÃ¤hige Dampflok als Prototyp einer Schmalspur-Einheitslok. Die mit einem Ãœberhitzer ausgestattete Lok kann 80 Tonnen schwere ZÃ¼ge auf Steigungen von 3% ziehen. Diese schÃ¶ne Dampflok verkehrt noch heute auf der Selketalbahn der Harzer Schmalspurbahnen (HSB). Das LGB-Modell ist in den Farben der Deutschen Reichsbahn lackiert und beschriftet. Die RauchkammertÃ¼r lÃ¤sst sich Ã¶ffnen, um den Blick auf die Rauchrohre freizugeben. Jeweils drei Loklaternen leuchten in Fahrtrichtung, wobei eine elektronische Schaltung fÃ¼r konstante Helligkeit sorgt.

Vorbild
Krupp baute 1939 diese zugstarke Schmalspurlok fÃ¼r die Nordhausen-Wernigeroder Eisenbahn (NWE). Diese Dampflokomotive war mit einem Ãœberhitzer ausgestattet und konnte bis zu 80 Tonnen schwere ZÃ¼ge auf einer Steigung von 3% ziehen.
1949 wurde die NWE von der Deutschen Reichsbahn Ã¼bernommen, und die Lok als 99 6001 eingereiht. Sie verkehrte weiterhin auf der meterspurigen Harzquerbahn in der eindrucksvollen Mittelgebirgslandschaft des Harzes. Heute kann man diese schÃ¶ne Lok auf der Selketalbahn im Harz erleben.

Von LGB in 1994 umbeschriftete neue fÃ¼nf-stellige Katalognummer.
Lok ist identisch mit der fÃ¼nften Version der LGB 2080D Lok bis auf einen neuen Motorblock. Es ist die letzte Version mit erhabener "Deutsche Reichsbahn" Schrift.

This powerful locomotive was built by the Krupp locomotive works in 1939 as a prototype for a standardized narrow-gauge locomotive. Using superheated steam, it could pull trains up to 80 metric tons (88 U.S. tons) up a 3% grade. The loco still operates on the Selketalbahn line of the Harzer Schmalspurbahnen (HSB). This LGB model captures the loco in its Deutsche Reichsbahn (DR) livery and lettering. The smoke box door opens to reveal the fire tubes. Six directional lanterns are powered through voltage stabilization electronics.

The Prototype
This powerful locomotive was built by the Krupp Locomotive Works in 1939. The loco used superheated steam to pull trains weighing up to 80 metric tons (88 U.S. tons) up the 3% grades of the Nordhausen-Wernigeroder Eisenbahn (NWE), also known as â€œHarzquerbahn.â€ This meter-gauge line links the towns in the deep valleys and picturesque mountains of the Harz Mountains.
After 1949, the NWE became part of the Deutsche Reichsbahn (DR), and the loco was renumbered DR 99 6001. Today the loco still operates in the Harz on the Selketalbahn line of the Harzer Schmalspurbahnen (HSB).

Renumbered model in 1994 by LGB with a new five-digit catalogue number.
This locomotive is identical with the fifth version of the LGB 2080D except for a new-style motor block. It is the last version with raised "Deutsche Reichsbahn" lettering.
