Leuna Kesselwagen mit Bremserhaus.
Zahlreiche Mineralölgesellschaften verfügen über eigene Kesselwagen, die bei den jeweiligen Bahngesellschaften eingestellt werden. Das erklärt auch, weshalb gerade Kesselwagen oft so farbenfroh lackiert sind: Die Firmen nutzen die Waggons zielgerichtet zur Anbringung von Eigenwerbung. Leuna gehörte in Deutschland von Anfang an zu den Firmen, die eigene Kesselwagen unterhielten. Das LGB-Modell gibt einen derartigen Wagen vorbildgetreu wieder. Der Kessel lässt sich befüllen und entleeren. Das Fahrzeug ist mit Metallradsätzen ausgerüstet.
Der Kessel eines LGB 40406 wurde auf einen Rahmen mit Bremserhaus der LGB 40120er Serie aufgesetzt.
Der Umbau erfolgte bevor LGB einen Kesselwagen mit Bremserhaus fertigte.

Leuna tank car with brakeman's hut.
Many oil companies have their own fleets of tank cars, which are then hauled by the railroads. Since they own the cars, the oil companies can use them for advertising, and from the early days, Germany’s Leuna did just that. This model, equipped with metal wheel sets, is an accurate reproduction of one of those tankers. The tank can be filled and emptied.
The tank of a LGB 40406 has been fitted to a chassis with brakeman's hut of the 40120 series from LGB.
The conversion has been carried out before LGB released a tank car with brakeman's hut.
