Kleine Bahngesellschaften bauten oft Spezialfahrzeuge in den eigenen Werkstätten, um Zeit und Geld zu sparen. Dabei wurden vorhandene Bauteile verwendet, wie beim Schneepflug der Spreewaldbahn, der aus Teilen einer ausgedienten Dampflokomotive entstand.
Der LGB-Schneepflug wird von einem zuverlässigen Bühler-Motor angetrieben. Die Pflugscharen sind wie beim Vorbild hochklappbar, so daß eine zusätzliche Schublok angekuppelt werden kann.
Vorbild
Auf der Spreewaldbahn mußte auch im Winter ein reibungsloser Betriebsablauf gewährleistet sein. Dafür verwendete man den Schneepflug 99-51-53, den die Bahnwerkstätten aus Rahmenteilen einer ausgedienten Dampflokomotive gebaut hatten. Mit seinen hochklappbaren Pflugscharen konnte der Schneepflug in beiden Richtungen eingesetzt werden, wobei er von einer Lok geschoben wurde. Ähnliche Schneepflüge konnte man auf verschiedenen anderen Schmalspurbahnen finden.

To save time and money, small railways often build special equipment in their shops using existing parts. For example, this Spreewaldbahn snow plow was built from parts of an obsolete steam locomotive and was equipped with two plows. This unique LGB model is motorized. Plus, you can couple the model to another loco by raising either of the plows.
The Prototype
The Spreewaldbahn relied on this snowplow to keep the tracks clear during the winter months. The "Spreewald" snowplow was built from parts of the frame of an obsolete steam locomotive and was equipped with adjustable plows. Many small railways assembled similar equipment in their shops.
