Kesselwagen BP-Olex.
BP® zählt zu den bekanntesten Mineralölkonzernen. Die fertigen Produkte wurden überwiegend mit der Eisenbahn transportiert. Dafür standen bei BP zahlreiche Kesselwagen im Einsatz. Aus Sicherheitsgründen verfügen die Kesselwagen über eine Feststellbremse. Das LGB-Modell gibt so einen Kesselwagen wieder. Der Kessel läßt sich befüllen und entleeren.
Der Kessel stammt von einem LGB Kesselwagen 45120, der auf ein Rahmen eines Lehmann Oil Kesselwagens (aus Zugpackung 70420) aufgesetzt wurde. Ablaßhahn und Ablaßstutzen wurden angesetzt. Technisch entspricht der Tankwagen anderen LGB Kesselwagen der 4040er Serie.

Tank car BP-Olex.
BP, one of the world’s best known oil companies, transports its products frequently by rail, and its many tankers can be found on railroads everywhere. For safety, these cars are equipped with parking brakes. This LGB model is a replica of one of those cars, complete with fill hatch and drain valve.
The tank is from a LGB tank car 45120 which has been mounted on the frame of an Lehmann Oil tankcar (from set 70420). Drain valve and outlet sleeve have been added. Technically the tankcar is similar to LGB tankcars of the 4040 series.
