Vorbild:
Historischer Triebwagen 187 001 der HSB (Harzer Schmalspurbahnen).
Der Triebwagen wurde 1933 in der Waggonfabrik Dessau gebaut und mit der Bezeichnung T1 an die ehemalige GHE (Gernrode-Harzgeroder Eisenbahngesellschaft) ausgeliefert um auf Strecken mit geringem Fahrgastaufkommen eingesetzt zu werden.
Nach dem zweiten Weltkrieg wurde der Triebwagen von der Deutschen Reichsbahn Ã¼bernommen und zu VT 133 522 umnummeriert.
Mit 34 Sitz- und 10 StehplÃ¤tzen wurde der Triebwagen auf den verbliebenen Reststrecken der Selketalbahn eingesetzt, erwies sich aber zu klein und wurde 1963 als Hilfs- und GerÃ¤tewagen umgebaut und dort bis 1978 eingesetzt.
1972 erhielt er von der Deutschen Reichsbahn die auch noch heute gÃ¼ltige Fahrzeugnummer 187 001.
1988 wurde der Triebwagen wieder neu aufgearbeitet und ab 1989 wurde er im Sonderreiseverkehr der Harzer Schmalspurbahnen eingesetzt.

Prototype:
Historic HSB (Harz Narrow Gauge Railways) railcar 187 001 .
This railcar was built in 1933 in the wagon factory in Dessau, Germany, designated T1 and delivered to the former GHE (Gernrode-Harzgerode Railway Company) to be used on routes with low ridership.
After the Second World War, the railcar was taken over by the Deutsche Reichsbahn and renumbered as VT 133 522
With 34 seats and room for 10 standees, the railcar was used on the remaining routes of the Selketalbahn, however it proved to be too small to handle the passenger volume and was rebuilt in 1963 to transport miscellaneous equipment and used that way until 1978.
In 1972 the railcar was renumbered as 187 001 by the Deutsche Reichsbahn (German State Railway) and retains this number to the present day.
In 1988 the rail car was refurbished and starting in 1989 it was placed in service at the HSB for special excursion trains.
