Zahnraddampflok Nr. 7

Vorbild:
Im Sommer 1873 wurde die Nr.7 ausgeliefert. Gebaut von der Maschinenfabrik in Winterthur. Im Volksmund nannte man sie scherzhaft Riggenbachs "Schnapsbrennerei".
Die Lokomotive war in der Lage mit 170PS einen groÃŸen oder zwei Kleine Wagen mit 54 oder zwei mal 30 Personen zu befÃ¶rdern. Die Nr.7 ist im Verkehrshaus in Luzern ausgestellt. (Info: Vitznau-Rigi von Hans Staffelbach, Orell FÃ¼ssli Verlag)

Rack steam locomotive No. 7

Prototype:
The rack steam locomotive No. 7 was delivered in the summer of 1873. Built by the engineering works in Winterthur. Jokingly knowen as Riggenbach's "Schnaps-distillery".
The locomotive developed 170 horse power and could handle two small cars with 30 passenger each or one large one with 54 passengers. Today, the No.7 loco is on display in the Museum of Transportation in Lucerne. (Info: Rigi by Hans Staffelbach, Orell FÃ¼ssli Verlag)
