Zertifikat (Certificate) - LGB Wilson Brothers Circus Set
Description: English below

The LGB Wilson Brothers Circus Set

This set was commissioned by Depot G Hobbies and manufactured by LGB.
Jim Marski of Depot G Hobbies in Winfield, Illinois (USA)offered this set to customers on a subscription basis only with delivery to start in 1992. The set included a locomotive with tender and 10 cars. The plan was to manufacture 2000 cars of each type and 650 locos with sound and 700 locos without sound. Three of the cars were flat cars with three types of circus wagons made by Columbine Hobby Co. - a cage wagon, a band wagon, and a tableau wagon.
Jim offered three payment plans to subscribers and orders were to be delivered as each car was received from LGB. The cars were scheduled to ship beginning in March 1992 and ending with the Circus Locomotive in July 1995.
Serial numbers were added to the cars of the sets by Depot G Hobbies, not LGB and were based on the post mark of the subscription orders or the customers’ wishes. All cars to a specific customer were to have the same serial number.

Since not all 2000 subscriptions were sold on the cars and only a smaller number of locomotives were made, not all sets had locos, in fact not all cars were sold as sets.
Depot G Hobbies later offered three “smaller sets†due to a production shortage of the tank car. This also made the tank car slightly more rare. These mini sets consisted of three cars and each set had its own set of serial numbers.
