Die L45H-358 Diesellok ist ein Bausatz der Firma Blauturm aus CNC-gefrästen Polystyrol. Die Einzelteile sind noch in Platten und müssen herausgetrennt, entgratet und dann zusammengeklebt und lackiert werden. Die Kanten des Lokaufbaues müssen selbst rundgeschliffen werden!
Viele Kleinteile sind noch anzubringen. Insbesondere das Einkleben der Lamellen, der Lüftungsgitter und die Blechsicken ist recht zeitaufwendig. Die Griffe der Türen werden aus Büroklammern gefertigt.
Die Antriebe sind Eigenkonstruktionen und werden fertig montiert mitgeliefert. Die Fahreigenschaften sind sehr gut. Sie verfügen über Schneckenantriebe mit einer starken Untersetzung. Die Endgeschwindigkeit ist deshalb niedriger als bei vergleichbaren Loks, dafür ist der Lauf sehr sanft. Alle Achsen sind angetrieben, eine Achse verfügt über Haftreifen. Die Stromaufnahme erfolgt über alle Räder und zusätzliche Schleifer.
Die Beschriftung wird als wetterfeste, selbstklebende Folie mitgeliefert, muss allerding noch ausgeschnitten werden.
Zum Einbau eines Lautsprechers ist der mittlere Kasten im Chassis nach unten offen. Auch hinter den Frontblechen sind Hohlräume wo Gewichte untergebracht werden können. Der gesamte Aufbau ist innen frei.

The L45H-358 diesel locomotive is a construction kit made of CNC milled polystyrene and offered byb the German firm "Blauturm". The individual parts are still in sheets and need to be separated, trimmed and glued together and painted. The edges of the locomotive housing still need to be rounded and smoothed!
Many small items need to be installed. In particular, glueing of the slats, the air outlet grilles and metal beads is quite time consuming. The handles of the doors are made using paper clips.
The drives are a proprietary design and are supplied already assembled. The drive characteristics are very good. The gear is a worm drive with a high reduction. The top speed is therefore lower than comparable locomotives, but because of that the movement is very smooth.. All axles are powered, one wheel equipped with traction tires. Power pick up is over all the wheels and additional sliders.
The lettering is included as a weather-resistant, self-adhesive foil, but it must still be cut to shape.
The centre of the chassis has a downward facing opening to allow installation of a speaker. Behind the front covers, there are caveties to accept additional weights. The entire housing is hollow inside.
