RhB Mannschaftswagen Xk.9039
Nachdem die alten zweiachsigen Personenwagen der Rhätischen Bahn von Vierachsern aus dem regulären Personenzugdienst verdrängt wurden, waren sie als Baudienst- oder Arbeitswagen weiter im Einsatz. So wurde im Jahr 1944 der frühere C 2026 von 1897 zum Mannschaftswagen Xk 9039. In dieser Funktion ist er heute noch vorhanden. Da es sich dabei um eines der letzten Fahr- zeuge aus der Anfangszeit der Landquart-Davos-Bahn handelt, soll dieser Wagen in den Ursprungszustand zurückversetzt werden. Nach Beendigung der Arbeiten wird dieses Fahrzeug dann den historischen Dampfzug der Rhätischen Bahn verstärken.

When the Rhätische Bahn replaced its old double-axle passenger cars with four-axle cars for regular passenger service, the double-axle cars continued to be used as construction and service cars. In 1944, the former C 2026 dating from 1897 became service personnel car no. Xk 9039. Even today, it still performs this function.
Since it is one of the last cars surviving from the early days of the Landquart-Davos railway, there are plans to restore it to its original condition. When the restoration work is finished, it will be added to the Rhätische Bahn‘s historic steam train consist.
