Diesellokomotive BR 204 der Pressnitztalbahn
Vorbild:
1963 wurde von der DR eine Diesellok für den mittleren Personen-, Güterzug- und den schweren Rangierdienst entwickelt. So entstand eine vierachsige, 1.000 PS starke Diesel- lok mit Mittelführerstand und hydraulischer Kraftübertragung. Die Loks wurden im DR Nummernschema als V 100 und 110 bezeichnet. Nach dem Zusammenschluss der Deutschen Bahnen wurde eine große Zahl dieser Maschinen an private Unternehmen verkauft, wo sie bis heute zuverlässig ihren Dienst verrichten.

Prototype:
In 1963 the DR developed a diesel locomotive for mid-range passenger, freight, and heavy shunting service. This is how the four-axle, 1,000 hp diesel locomotive with a central driver’s cab and hydraulic transmission came into being. These locomotives were labelled V 100 and 110 in the DR numbering system. Following the unification of the German railroads, a large number of these locomotives were relabelled BR 201, but were soon no longer of use. They were then sold to private companies, where they provide reliable service to this day.
