Die Amtrak steht fÃ¼r den modernen Personenverkehr in den USA. Neben einer Vielzahl an Reisezugwagen hÃ¤lt diese Bahngesellschaft auch einige GÃ¼terwagen vor. Dazu gehÃ¶ren u.a. die in Nordamerika weit verbreiteten Steel Boxcar. Diese werden von der Amtrak als Materialwagen eingesetzt. Das LGB-Modell ist die authentische Umsetzung eines solchen GÃ¼terwagens in Phase III Lackierung. Die groÃŸen SchiebetÃ¼ren des Modells lassen sich Ã¶ffnen. While Amtrak symbolizes modern passenger service in the United States, the railroad also has freight cars on its roster. This LGB model replicates one of those cars in Amtrak's â€œPhase IIIâ€ livery. It fits with the LGB Genesis diesel loco in Phase III livery (LGB 20490). The large, sliding doors open for loading mail, baggage and other freight.
