Vorbild
Die EMD SD-45 Dieselloks wurden wÃ¤hrend der Mitte der 1960er Jahre entwickelt um den Forderungen der US Bahngesellschaften nach einer starken, zugkrÃ¤ftigen Lok nachzukommen.
Diese Lokomotive leistete 3600 PS mit einem 20-Zylinder-Motor und konnte einen langen, schweren Zug sehr schnell beschleunigen.
Viele dieser Loks wurden Ã¼ber die Jahre umgebaut und sind noch nach 35 Jahren im Dienst.

Prototype
The EMD SD-45 was developed during the mid 1960's to fill the need for a high horsepower locomotive.
This locomotive generated 3600 horsepower with a 20 cylinder engine and could move a long, heavy train very quickly.
Many have been rebuilt and are still in service after 35 years.
