Das Vorbild wurde am 31. 05. 1961 in Dienst gestellt und diese Lok wurde im Oktober 1972 die schnellste, betriebsfähige Lok der Welt mit einer Geschwindigkeit von 182,5 km/h.
Heute ist die Lok restauriert und wird zu Sonderfahrten eingesetzt.

The prototype of this locomtive was placed into service on May 31st 1961. She became the fastest operational steam locomotive in Oktober of 1972 reaching a top speed of 182,5 km/h (113.4 mph).
This locomotive has been fully restored and it used for special train excursions in Germany.
