Vorbild:
Der VEB Lokomotivbau „Karl Marx“ Potsdam Babelsberg entwickelte in den 60er Jahren eine dreiachsige Diesellok für den Einsatz in Industrieunternehmen. Die 100 PS starke Lok konnte für Spurweiten von 600 bis 1067 mm geliefert werden, als Sonderausführung wurde auch eine Variante für den Einsatz in tropischen Gebieten gefertigt. Einen Außenrahmen bekamen alle Lokomotiven mit einer Spurweite bis 750 mm, alle anderen hingegen einen Innenrahmen. Insgesamt wurden etwa 500 Exemplare produziert, nur wenige Lokomotiven gingen sofort an die Deutsche Reichsbahn. Nach der Wende und dem Wegfall vieler Industriebetriebe konnten einige Lokomotiven auf Museumsbahnen ein neues Einsatzgebiet finden.
Modell:
Der Grundaufbau des Modells entsteht aus hochwertigen Vacuum-Kunstharzteilen, ergänzt durch eine Reihe von Anbauteilen. Der Rahmen vom Antriebsblock und die Kuppelstangen werden wegen der geforderten Robustheit eines Gartenbahnmodells aus Metall gefertigt, die Radsätze haben Messing Radsterne und Edelstahl Radreifen, gelagert werden sie in Messing-Gleitlagern. Der Antrieb erfolgt durch einen kugelgelagerten 11 Watt Maxon-Glockenankermotor über ein kombiniertes Schnecken- /Stirnradgetriebe auf alle Achsen. Zur Beleuchtung ist die Lok mit warmweißen bzw. roten Leuchtdioden, mit entsprechendem Lichtwechsel, ausgestattet. Das Modell kann mit einer handelsüblichen Großserien-Hakenkupplung nachgerüstet werden.
Prototype:
In the sixties, the VEB (former East German) locomotive works "Karl Marx" in Potsdam Babelsberg, Germany developed a three-axle diesel locomotive for service in various industries. The 100-hp engine was delivered for track gauges from 600 mm to 1067 mm, as a special version was also available for use in tropical areas. All locomotives built for gauge 750 mm or less were constructed with an outer frame, all other others were built with an inner frame. All told, about 500 units were produced but only a few locomotives were shipped to the German State Railways. After the unification of Germany and the closuree of many industrial companies, some locomotives found a new home with Museum railways.
Model:
The basic structure of the model is created from high-quality vacuum resin parts, supplemented by a number of add-on parts. The frame of the motor block and the connecting rods are made of metal due to the required robustness required for a Garden Railway model, the axles are fabricated of brass brass with stainless steel wheel rims and they run in brass bearings. The locomotive is powered by a ball bearing 11 Watt Maxon coreless motor with a combined worm / spur gear driving all axles. The locomotive is equipped with warm-white and red LEDs, which light appropriately depending on the direction of travel.. The model can be retrofitted with a commercial hook and loop coupler. |
