Vorbild:
Die modernen Genesis Dieselloks wurden von der Amtrak speziell für den Reisezugverkehr Nordamerikas beschafft. Seit 1971 setzte die Amtrak verschiedene Farbvarianten für ihre Triebfahrzeuge und Waggons ein. Die als Phase IV bezeichnete Lackierung wird seit 1994 verwendet und ist noch heute an vielen Loks zu finden.
Modell:
Das LGB-Modell ist die vorbildgerechte Umsetzung einer AMD 103, so die offizielle Bezeichnung der Genesis von Amtrak. Mit dieser Lok lässt sich der moderne Reiseverkehr Nordamerikas auf die LGB-Anlage holen. Angetrieben von zwei leistungsstarken Bühlermotoren verfügt das Modell über eine hohe Zugkraft. Ein fahrtrichtungsabhängiger Lichtwechsel ist ebenfalls Standard. Das Modell ist mit einer DCC-Schnittstelle ausgerüstet und kann auf analog gesteuerten Anlagen eingesetzt werden. Die individuelle Nachrüstung mit einem handelsüblichen Digitaldecoder für Großbahnen ist möglich.

Amtrak’s modern “Genesis†series of diesel-electric locomotives can be seen in several color schemes. The livery known as “Phase IV†has been in use since 1994 and still can be seen on many Amtrak locos and passenger cars.
Model:
This LGB model is an authentic replica of the AMD103, as the Genesis is formally known, in Phase IV colors, and with it, you can model American passenger traffic on your layout. Twin Bühler motors provide the pulling power, and automatic directional lighting illuminates the way. The model is also equipped with a “DCC†interface for simplified installation of a digital decoder for operation on DCC/MTS layouts. Use the MTS Decoder III (LGB 55027) for easy installation or a third-party, DCC-type decoder. |
