Sächsische I K Dampflok, Jubiläumsedition N° 54 anlässlich der Feierlichkeiten zu "125 Jahren Schmalspurbahnen in Sachsen"
Vorbild:
Die Lokomotivenfabrik Hartmann in Chemnitz baute 44 dieser Lokomotiven der Reihe I K für die sächsische Staatsbahn. Die ersten drei dieser Serie wurden 1881 ausgeliefert. Auf den sächsischen Schmalspurstrecken verrichteten diese 16 Tonnen schweren Loks ihren Dienst bis in die 20er Jahre; einige wurden danach als Werkloks eingesetzt und die letzte wurde erst 1964 verschrottet. Aus Anlass des 125 jährigen Jubiläums im Jahr 2006 wurde vom „Verein sächsische Schmalspurbahnen e.V.“ (VSSB) eine Initiative für den Neubau einer IK ins Leben gerufen.
Modell:
Dieses Modell wurde in Kleinserie produziert als Jubiläumsedition anlässlich 125 Jahre Schmalspurbahn in Sachsen.
Das Modell ist aus Vakuum-Kunstharzteilen gefertigt, der Rahmen vom Antriebsblock, die Steuerung und verschiedene Anbauteile sind aus Messing hergestellt. Die Radsätze haben Messing Radsterne und Edelstahl Radreifen, gelagert werden sie in Sinterbronzebuchsen. Der Antrieb erfolgt durch einen kugelgelagerten 11 W Maxon-Glockenankermotor über ein kombiniertes Schnecken- /Stirnradgetriebe auf alle Achsen.

Saxon Steam locomotive of type I K, Jubilee Edition N ° 54 on the occasion of the celebration of "125 years of narrow gauge railways in Saxony"
The Prototype:
The locomotive works Hartmann Chemnitz of Germany manufactured 44 of these locomotives of the series I K for the Saxon State Railways. The first three in this series were delivered 1881. These 16-ton locomotives were in service with the Saxon narrow gauge railways until the 1920's and some of them were then used as works locomotives the last of which was not scrapped until 1964. To mark the 125th anniversary of the railway in 2006, the "Association of the Saxon Narrow Gauge Railways eV (VSSB)" started an initiative to build a new I K locomotived.
The Model:
This model was produced in small series as an Anniversary Edition on the occasion of "125 Years of Narrow-Gauge Railways in Saxony.
The super structure of themodel is made of vacuum resin parts, the frame for the motor block, the drive linkage and various add-on parts are made of brass. The wheels are brass with stainless steel rims, supported in sintered bronze bushings. Power is provided by an 11 watt, ball-bearing Maxon coreless motor driving a combined worm / spur gear on all axles.
