Wismar-Schienenbusse vom Typ Hannover. Auch auf Ihrer LGB-Anlage macht der im Volksmund liebevoll "SchweineschnÃ¤uzchen" genannte Triebwagen eine tolle Figur. Auf dem groÃŸen DachgepÃ¤cktrÃ¤ger und in den vorderen GepÃ¤ckaufnahmen neben den Motorvorbauten kÃ¶nnen Ihre FahrgÃ¤ste Traglasten verstauen. Durch die zu Ã¶ffnenden SchiebetÃ¼ren steigt man in den detaillierten und beleuchteten Innenraum ein. Eisenbahn-Fans werden die originalgetreue Lackierung und Beschriftung in den Farben der Deutschen Reichsbahn bewundern. Der LokfÃ¼hrer freut sich Ã¼ber das automatisch in Fahrtrichtung von weiÃŸ auf rot wechselnde Spitzensignal.

Vorbild:
Die Priegnitzer Kreiskleinbahnen stellten 1939 zwei schmalspurige Wismar-Schienenbusse der Bauart Hannover in Dienst, die mit zwei Motoren und FÃ¼hrerstÃ¤nden an beiden Enden ausgestattet waren. Damit erÃ¼brigte sich ein Wenden des Fahrzeugs am Ende der Strecke. Das brachte beim Betrieb auf Neben- und Kurzstrecken eine erhebliche Zeitersparnis, was zur Beliebtheit dieses Typs beitrug.

Wismar-type rail car of type "Hanover". This powered rail bus is affectionately nicknamed the "Little Pig's Snout", and it will look great on your LGB layout. Your passengers can stow their bags and suitcases on the large roof luggage carrier and in the front baggage compartments next to the motors. The sliding doors can be opened so that passengers can enter the detailed, lighted interior. Railroad fans will admire the authentic DR (German State Railroad) livery. The locomotive engineer loves the way the head- and taillights change colour automatically from white to red with the direction of travel.

Prototype:
The Priegnitz railroad placed two narrow-gauge Wismar-Hannover rail cars in service in 1939; they were equipped with engines and cabs on both ends which avoided the need to turn this vehicle around at the end of the run. This resulted in a considerable savings in time for operation on branch lines and short routes and contributed to the popularity of this type of rail vehicle.
