Die Colorado & Southern Railroad war für die kleinen Städte und Bergwerke in den bewaldeten Tälern der Rocky Mountains der einzige Kontakt zur Außenwelt. Um Waldbrände zu vermeiden, waren die Schornsteine dieser Mogul-Lokomotiven mit Funkenfängern ausgerüstet, die aufgrund ihrer Form als “Bärenfallen†bezeichnet wurden. Das LGB-Modell ist eine detailgetreue Nachbildung des Vorbilds. Sogar der Sound einer echten Dampflok, mit Dampfausstoß, Glocke, Pfeife und weiteren Geräuschen, wird von der digitalen Geräuschelektronik nachgebildet.
Mit Decoder Schnittstelle ausgerüstet.

The Colorado & Southern Railroad served mines and villages in the forested valleys of the Rocky Mountains. To prevent forest fires, the smoke stacks of these Mogul locos were equipped with spark arrestors, known as "bear traps." This LGB model captures the look and the sound of these locos with a digital sound system, including steam, bell and whistle sounds.
