Description:

Steam loco 99 2015
An exceptionally powerful model equipped with two drive motors:o ne in the locomotive and one in the tender. Power is transferred via back axles on the loco and both on the tender. Power is picked up on all eight wheels plus four power pick-up shoes. Power cable between loco and tender. Slim typical Prussian smoke stack. This loco with its fine detailing, many added parts and accurate markings is a typical representation of the type of locomotive which proliferated the German countryside and brought both men and materials to the big cities beyond the horizon.

Prototype:
After the war, many of these narrow gauge locomotives, previously used by armyfield railways, found their way onto many German narrow gauge railroads. These narrow gauge locos were used to cover the large distances of the Mecklenburg-Pomerian line. This type oflocomotive is still in use today on the Jagsttal Museum Railway and in Muehlenroth near Guetersloh.
