Dieser Wagen wurde in zehn verschiedenen Versionen zwischen 1973 und 1988 produziert.
Dieser Wagen ist die siebte Version und die zweite Auflage der D & RGW Flachwagen.

This car was produced in ten different versions (not counting product IDs with letter suffixes) between 1973 and 1988.
This is the seventh version and the second production run of the D&RGW flat car..
The features of the â€œsixthâ€ production are the same as the features of this one with the following differences on the seventh version:
1) Molded orange brown bottom, ends, sides and edges of bed body are painted flat black.
2) Sprayed top, ends and sides with clear gloss coat. (The clear coat had a delayed reaction with the paint and began crackling and crazing, leaving a less than desirable effect.)
3) Unpainted molded black chassis.
4) White pad printed â€œD&RGW 4060â€ etc. on sides of bed body.
5) Small flange wheels.
6) One sway stop tab hook and one non sway stop tab coupler hoop.
7) Bed has eight tabs for containers.
8) Gray side frame trucks.
This was one of LGB's few production run slip ups. In fact, they took many of these cars and repainted them flat black on top to make them more marketable.
