Das Modell Baureihe 103 in Baugröße G zeichnet sich durch Nachbildung sämtlicher äußerer Erscheinungsmerkmale ihres großen Vorbilds aus. Das fein lackierte und bedruckte Modell überzeugt durch höchste Zuverlässigkeit, Robustheit, kugelgelagerte, verchromte Radsätze, Fahrtrichtungsabhängigen Lichtwechsel, Führerstandsbeleuchtung sowie eine Führerstandseinrichtung mit Lokführer. Weiter hervorzuheben sind die vielen einzeln angesetzten Details wie Griffstangen und die markanten Scheibenwischer. Die BR 103 von PIKO besitzt darüber hinaus eine hohe Zugkraft und ausgezeichnete Fahreigenschaften. Das Modell ist für Digitalbetrieb mit Soundimitation vorbereitet.
In die Lok können bis zu 4 Beleuchtungsbausätze (#36017) verbaut werden (Führerstand vorne, Führerstand hinten und 2x Maschienenraum) und ist für die Nachrüstung eines Pantographenantriebes (#36145)

This model of the DB series 103 in scale G is characterized by the faithful representation of all the external features of its big role model. The finely painted and printed model convinces by its high reliability, robustness, ball bearing chrome-plated wheelsets, direction-dependent light changes, cab lighting and a cab with a loco engineer. The many individually applied details such as gab irons and the distinctive windshield wipers are also worthy of mention. The Piko BR 103 also offers high tractive effort and excellent driving characteristics. The model is prepared for digital operation with sound .
